Graham Fischer-Ortiz joined Kirby School in 2017, bringing 7 years of classroom experience at the middle and high school levels, both in California and abroad. Most recently he taught high school English Literature and Writing courses at the American Collegiate Institute in Turkey.  He has also taught 7th and 8th grade History at the Davidson Middle School in San Rafael, CA, and high school History at the APU International School in Vietnam. Graham’s years of traveling and teaching abroad inspires his classroom experiences and approach to learning. He earned a Single Subject California Teaching Credential in Social Science with a Supplementary Authorization in Introductory English, ELD/SDAIE Certification, a Masters in Education from UC Santa Barbara, and BAs in both History and English, also from UC Santa Barbara.
