After college graduation, Ms. Taylor taught theater and music in Salt Lake City, directing several musicals and plays. She then spent several years traveling, first to Alabama, and then to Korea, where she taught English language. From Korea she moved to Louisiana, where she taught music, speech, and fine arts in grades K-12. She was also a radio DJ for two local radio stations. Pursuing her own love for acting, she has played lead roles in such varied productions as All’s Well that Ends Well, High Spirits, and Clue. Locally she performed lead roles in Oliver, How I Learned to Drive, Our Town, Rabbit Hole, August Osage County, God Of Carnage, Company, and Young Frankenstein. She has directed and acted in the 8 tens @ 8 festival for Actors Theatre and will be participating in this festival again in January. She received several best actress awards in Army Community Theatre world competitions and is currently active in local improvisation, community theatre groups and is serving on the board of the Actors Theatre Company. Ms Taylor is proud to be teaching at Kirby for the last 18 years.
