The Open House is an ideal opportunity to experience our campus, and to chat informally with Kirby families and faculty in each department.
Kirby Open Houses paint a vivid picture of the education your student will receive at Kirby. We begin with a meet and greet with Kirby families and faculty, followed by a more formal presentation, a Q & A session with current students, a “Campus Passport Tour,” and a closing reception.
Prospective students mingle with current students to experience the Kirby culture — collaborative, creative, and caring. Parents mingle to discover the inside story — school climate, college prep, the balance of classes and extracurriculars, and the level of attention and commitment given to every student. Faculty can help your family explore ideas, needs, and preferences. Our Academic Dean, School Counselor, Director of Learning Services, and College Counselor will also be available for questions.
How do students know if Kirby is a good fit? A shadow day is an ideal way to find out. We will pair your student with a student host who has similar interests. Together they will experience a “day in the life” at Kirby. They will attend classes together, hang out with other Kirby students, and enjoy lunch with friends in the renowned Kirby Café.
A campus tour is an ideal way to see our campus and to experience Kirby students and faculty in action. Our Director of Admissions, Amy Hemmert, is available by appointment. She will answer your questions and show you all that Kirby has to offer.
